It was morning, and the group of mortals continued their trek through the lush, tree and grass covered land. The young man Anson, inspired by the meal they had eaten from the beast the night before, set out apart from the main group with his pickaxe. He had decided to hunt for more wild animals, seeking to bring back food to keep them all alive. Meanwhile, Eveli the cook began searching for wild plants and herbs that could be eaten and used to flavor the meat. And so they learned to be self-sufficient, finding ways to provide for themselves even outside of their former home.
The people began to enter an expansive forest. Trees and bushes grew around them so thickly they could not all walk together. They heard strange noises and saw queer shapes moving among the trees. Multitudes of small birds and other animals could be glimpsed, and everything seemed alive.
